t's been said time and time again by other people, but i'll say it because maybe you don't believe us? i really respect POS and all the great music you post, but in the last, what, 8 months?, as the remix sundays have gotten longer, the sheer fluff has gone to insane levels. the r.kelly/harrison remix from two weeks ago was complete garbage - like one of his weaker instrumentals with a random a capella haphazardly thrown on top. and this weeks biggest loser is the smell your dick remix. sounds like a 14 year old took some elementary ideas in garage band. i'm not against the music being made - we all have to learn and grown - but i believe remix sunday was much more effective (for a number of reasons and to a number of ends) when it didn't include weaker stuff like that. my .02.

i appreciate your taking the time to make your thoughts clear, but i must disagree about the ima flirt rmx. i really like that track.
apart from that, you have to realize that there are a lot of different types of music fans out there, and what you might think is the "fluff" is what someone else might covet the most. what they think sucks might be what you like the most. i have had countless surprising emails and comments saying "thank so much for track x" where x might have been the song that allllmost didnt make it up. i don't post remix sunday to appease any particular person or group, but rather to provide an opportunity for different sounds, and different producers to appear in the same context. this was always what remix sunday was about. since #1. i understand no one will like everything, but thats why i provide a zip file, so you can download the whole thing, then go through and toss out what you don't like. in the process you might find yourself enjoying something you never thought you would. i'm not here specifically for you to go out and dj a whole remix sunday as a set, but for you to be exposed to different sounds, and potentially find a track or two that works with your style. i can only approach this from a place inside myself- therefore i can only post what i think is good. besides, there might be a shitty track that has 20 seconds of brilliance in it- in which case all you djs and producers out there can make your own edit as you see fit. in the process the homey who made the original [shitty] track will be inspired to keep making music, and will get better and better until that 20 seconds turns into a brilliant song.
why not use your time and energy to mention what you like the MOST, as opposed to what you like the LEAST?
word. i feel you and i was hesitant to even write what i did because in a sense i anticipated what your [quite apt] response would be. part of me just wanted to vent i suppose.
so you're right, fluff is a relative term, and i suppose i just marked it as a more encompassing sound palate from which POS had been able to feature more and more artists. which is great, actually.
what do i like the most? electro and bmore stuff. stuff that throbs with forward rhythm and steady bass. i like the featured artist entries and the new finds (for the record, i like harrisons stuff and just not the ima flirt, but it's really not important what i think anyway). i like when mainstream tracks are remixed real heavy cause i mostly DJ this stuff to a college where house is not big, so i gotta reeaaallly creep it up on 'em and those tunes help plenty.

word up to the anonymous post. I agree. I also agree with Haldan. the reponse is to download the zip file and "toss out" what you don't like. I still enjoy remix sundays because ultimately I come out with 1 track that I like, and that's enough for me.
